Nestling in 40 acres of beautiful parkland, the 4-star 127-room Copthorne Hotel Effingham Park is situated close to Gatwick airport and the M23. The hotel boasts its own 9- hole golf course, a 20-metre swimming pool, floodlit tennis courts and an outstanding health club.

The Requirement

The hotel’s management team were using a two-way speech communication solution that was working inefficiently. With real-time communication essential, the hotel required a new and efficient system, which could be trusted to work at all times.

The Solution

Stanley installed an Aquarius DECT solution, which allows the hotel’s management to keep in continuous contact with key staff – including its maintenance and housekeeping teams – wherever they are in the hotel.

The system, incorporating 24 mobiles, allows immediate access to essential information and ensures the hotel is more responsive to its customers’ needs. It operates in conjunction with an analogue internal telephone exchange to provide a cordless telephone system.

Each cordless handset is associated with an extension on the exchange and offers all the facilities that are available to the fixed telephone on the same extension. The two telephones – fixed and cordless handset – are fully operational at all times allowing the caller to both make and answer calls from either.

The Effingham Park solution is also linked into the hotel’s Fire Alarm System and to panic buttons in the health club and swimming pool, so that guests can call for assistance if required.”
